In our ninth session, the stakes were higher than ever as the party navigated a labyrinth of alliances, plans, and betrayals. The Bro, under the guise of seeking an alliance, returned to negotiate with Marco. But this was all part of a cunning ruse: The Bro’s ultimate aim was to manipulate Marco and Don Caruso into a confrontation, ideally eliminating both threats.
In preparation for the high-stakes showdown, Aubert sought the wisdom of Victor, a trusted old contact. Victor’s advice proved invaluable, shaping a daring plan. Aubert would disguise himself as Don Caruso and deliver to Lilith a box filled with C4, setting the stage for the party to take her down.
Upon reaching the church, the party’s nerves were on edge as they mistook Father O’Malley, the Knight of the Cross, for the sword-wielding murderer they had been wary of.
The day of the planned attack saw Don Caruso, frail and walking with a cane, arrive at the church. He was accompanied only by his servant Sebastian, who stayed outside the church. Gigi skillfully distracted Don Caruso, but an unexpected wrench was thrown into the plans. A group of Marco’s goons arrived, confronting Sebastian. The Bro observed from a distance, and Aubert, nudged by Father O’Malley, decided to intervene.
Our session ended in a volatile standoff, with guns drawn in front of the church. Marco’s absence left everyone questioning his loyalty and intentions, adding another layer of complexity to an already intricate web of alliances and betrayals.
